FAQ
Common Questions
Do I need any experience to start?
No experience is necessary. Beginners are welcomed at every class and will be guided through the fundamentals by our instructors at their own pace.
What should I wear to my first class?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing such as a t-shirt and shorts or trackpants. Once you decide to continue training, you will be fitted with a karate gi (uniform).
Is Kyokushin suitable for children?
Yes. Kyokushin is excellent for children, building discipline, fitness, confidence, and respect. Please contact us to discuss age-appropriate training options.
How often should I train?
We recommend attending at least two sessions per week to progress steadily. More frequent training accelerates development, but consistency is the most important factor.
When are gradings held?
Gradings are held periodically throughout the year. Your instructor will advise when you are ready to grade. Advancement requires demonstrated technique, fitness, and spirit.
